Has Human Harmed The Earth Or Made It a Better Place?
Some people believe that the Earth is being harmed by human activity. Others feel that human activity makes the Earth a better place to live. Is human activity is damaging the Earth?
In my opinion the humanity is damaged the Earth in all ways! Only wars get so much troubls to our World! If I include here the pollution of air and water, doing away witn areas of forest, hunting and bla bla bla (as Doston says) I think these all destroy other planet!
Yeah I agree with others opinion. I also think that people(WE) are killing the Earth. Many centuries ago the Earth was beautiful,clear and green.There weren`t any buildings and any factories.But now there are so much factories and every day they smoke a lot of dangerous gases that destroys ozone layer.If people didn`t stop it, probably after one or two century the Earth would explode^_^ Yeah the Earth would explode like a bomb)
So should we develop and urbanize our countries? 2 years ago I read in the book that more than 75 % of population in USA live in the cities or 75 % of USA is urbanized. I was so impressed at that time by such an amazing development that American nation achieved in their country. It is really great and convenient to live a city where infrastructure is highly developed and serves needs of human kind. But on the other hand, USA is one of the biggest contributors to a global climate change as it is extremely industrialized country and produces more waste and smoke than any other country in the world (as far as I believe).
So I am really puzzled to what extend we should develop our countries? Should global developments be limited or controlled?
We are definitely harming our planet by building giant factories, cities and other. A lot of forests are being cut down and so on. :--((((
Yeah people(we) can`t do anything.We`ve already decided our future.Some people think that the end of the world is close and mankind is going to die.They consider that people(we) torment the Earth and the Earth can`t suffer no longer. Maybe they are right,maybe not.Who knows. But indeed we`re killing the Earth and not only USA is guilty.

OK let also get off topic a little bit and express what I think about this concept. Americans, who I worked with, in Tashent and Dubai were one of most workaholic people I have ever known. I totally disagree with you on this opinion.
We'd better reflect on ourselves. I would say that Uzbeks are very lazy these days. For example if you take a look at the Navoi market, most of the shops are privately owned there. But anyway they open their shops late at 10 if not at 11 in the morning and then they close it early at 4:30 or 5 in the evening.
In outside world shops stay open from 9 am upto 00 midnight if not 24 hours in some cases.
Also people study time and stress management skills at university to get prepared for a busy lifestyle and most of the people suffer from lack or personal life and stuff like that. And it mostly happens in USA. So I would not say that American are lazy and they watch TV all day long.
Yee I agree with you Akmalaka! I think it's not suitable than we put all Amaricans to the row off lazy people. I think in every nationality we can find peole who is hard-working and who is lazy bones!
well, mr.Akmal why navoi street shops open and close for short time? because people don't go to buy some technological stuff early morning and late evenings. anyway there are job vacancies are very limited that's why most of men unemployed. in fact, uzbek people are considered as workaholic people. for example, there are many uzbek men or women abroad. they work as "black hand" i can say.
anyway, factories, planes, cars, rockets and other such kinda things polluting atmosphere in every second. government should reduce using plants and traveling by cars, planes. it would be a big help for our mother planet if americans don't send their space probes and rockets into space and moon.
Well Doston I meant Uzbeks in Tashkent when I wrote about them. They always try to work less and less hours and make a lot of money out of it. But I agree that low salaries around the city has already made most of Uzbeks to become lazy. No matter how long and how hard you work your salary will still be poor. As a result many people seek other part-time jobs that require them work less hours and pay a decent money.
As regards to Americans who send their stuff into the space, I can say that we are to blame for it anyway. Who was 1st to send a manned aircraft into the space? Do you know a hero called Yuriy Gagarin? After that event USA entered a so-called space race with USSR and it still continues in our days.

Yeah USA is urbanized more than other countries, however, people in USA are LAZY, PLUMP and they prefer to sit on the sofa and watch TV.
