Should We Say NO To Hollywood Movies?

I personally believe that there are a lot of fantastic quality Hollywood movies which convey very good message to the whole world. However, movies like Fast and Furious are really making young people furious and rebellious too. Movies like that are also changing the way they view life in a negative way.

Do you think we should say NO to Hollywood movies and discourage ourselves and our younger sisters, brothers to watch movies less and less? In your opinion what factors make the movie good? Which movies would NOT you recommend to watch and which ones you would recommend? Why?

  1. Tricky question. I think it is okay to watch Hollywood films. I don't know about others but I like Fast and Furious. It is interesting one.

Well there are some movies which are act to our mind maybe. It is impossible to say NO to H. movies because we can watch everywhere, in every channel.

Maybe government should shorten to transfer films to us.

  3. I am really bothered about the way how our drivers try to immitate these guys in this movie and cause real accidents taking people's lives. Accidents are real not imitation!!! Think about it Doston. And pay attention how boys talk to the girls and vise versa. Do you think it is acceptable or good? :--(((

What movies do you guys recommend to wantch? For example, just yesterday I watched a movie starred by E Murphy. Movie is called ''Visit to USA'' in Russian it is Poeyzdka v Ameriku.

It has a very big and strong message. It teaches how to be modest and humble no matter how rich or influencial you are.

  5. To Akmal aka
Yeah you are right about it. But it also depends how old are we, because if we old enough we realize that it is wrong. And I think you watched this movie on NTV PLUS so there is age limitation before showing the films, isn't it.

Anyway I like cars I can say I'm fan of sport cars, tuning.

However I agree with you, most of movies damage our mind about life...

  6. I full agree with you Akmalaka! Many H.films change our view, but as Doston says it depends on our age! yes, in some films we can see a cruelty but it's the fight between goodness and evil! I can say only one thing that America is griping all the world! We watch their films, we eat their food,we wear their clothes and our behavior become like their.
I recommend to watch "Pursuit of happiness" too. it's real interesting movie.

  8. Once when we had speaking club Nadira told us that her parents don't permit her to watch some channels. So I think it is good idea, they protect her from bad stuff. I don't watch so many movies but If I watch I try to catch something really important, something which will help in my trouble situations. Even it is Fast and Furious.

  9. I can't understand one thing. USA is the country that always tries to discourage cruelty and violence towards human beings all over the world but the movies they produce are sometimes full of violence and ill behavior. You know sometimes I can't continue watching Hollywood movies because they are too inhuman and too brutal. For example, movies called Residence Evil and Final Destination. They are too brutal and violent guys.

  15. Some of Uzbek films becoming more crazy and more similar to Hollywood films, aren't they? What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ohh I don't really know about it. But some Uzbek films are really great Doston. Don't blindly assume that Uzbek film means poor quality film. I do recommend to watch the following movies.

    1) Shaytanat
    2) Sogdiana
    3) Poyma Poy
    4) Uylanish
    5) Ruh (This film does not have any message but the quality is really great. Good Uzbek scary and horror film without any special or technological effects.

Films like Bo'rilar or Sevginator are really crazy ones, I do agree. They are just nonsense.

  17. Are you guys really serious about what you are saying? I mean it is very subjective that Hollywood movies change people's behavior and as some of you mentioned make people become cruel. I personally believe it is quite unlikely that a movie such as 'Fast and Furious' can change person's behavior; be it driving or the way they speak or communicate. Moreover, you should not judge the whole film industry of the US by certain movies they produce. I think that in order to say that a particular movie is of high quality there should be some movies of lower quality.

  18. Akmal, you must be just pretending to be naive about the US discouraging cruelty in movies and the violence.Watch news and you will see how school children kill people from their own districts and even schools and classes. The US film industry is # 1 in the world now. It has become one of the biggest financial pools. So there is no need for explanation - money that's what it is all about.

  19. I wonder who is this anonymous user? :--))))Perfect English!!! Have a nice blogging!!!! :--))))

  20. Mr Anonymous if you reading this comment read it attentively. I saw many little boys who behave in cruel way. I know some of them who killed while they are playing with metal (instead of sword) or with knives which they took from home.
And also most of little boys even girls don't respect adults. Boys look at girls like night butterflies. You think it is from their own experience. I don't think so. Apparently 97 per cent of children watch HOLLYWOOD MOVIES.
    What extend do you disagree??

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yeah Akmal aka you're right but many films becoming crazy. I don't agree with you about Poyma poy and Uylanish. Because they are like "Bachkana". But for fun they are quite interesting.
I recommend some films which are really good. These films took part in movie festivals also:
    1) Osmondagi bolalar (Boys in the sky)
    2) Vatan (Motherland)
    3) Dev bilan Pakana (Giant and Dwarf)
    4) Sevinch (this girl's name it is impossible to translate)

  23. Guys what factors make the movie a good movie? :--))))

  24. Good movie which express life experience real life situations is the best for me

    ReplyDelete
  25. Akmal, I agree with what you wrote to some extent. Perhaps, it is not just Hollywood movies that influence Uzbek young generation negatively. The impact of western culture has become quite strong recently, and since young people are most likely to be influenced, due to their youth maximality, they tend to react the way you explained.

  26. Dear Anonymous user,

I read your comment and I can't find it now. OK let me say it here. I am not hurt at all by your criticism that you gave about 2 weeks ago. But the fact that I was told to change the topic just in the middle of our hot discussion put me off and lowered my spirit. And it was given at the time when I am doing all my best to make the blog interesting and encourage and PR it everywhere.

Anyway, I do apologize for everything.
