Should Children Be Smacked?
Mary Marsh of NSPCC (Britain' main children's charity) says: "It should be as wrong to hit a child as an adult". However, in a recent survey in th UK, 83 % of parents said that children needed to be smacked sometimes and that smacking was good for a child.
FACT FILES
Smacking is banned in many countries.
In England and Wales, you can legally give your child 'a light smack', but you can be jailed if you leave a bruise, a scratch or cut on child's skin.
Were you smacked as child? If so, how did you feel? Should parents be allowed to smack their children?

I disagree about smacking children. Parents should talk with their children seriously like with adults instead of smacking them.
ReplyDeleteAs for me I have never been smacked. My parents as I mentioned used to talk with me like an adult.
I agree with you Doston!Hitting cvhildrenis not a right way of explaining!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I used to be smacked a lot when I was a child myself. Besides I was crazy and difficult child too those times. Perhaps smacking used to happen to me a lot to because I am the 1st child and I have 2 junior brothers for whose behaviors I used to be responsible and I used pay the price every single time.
ReplyDeletein my opinion, it is not a good way to bring up a child by smacking him or her.it could cause disorder of consciousness, problems with psychology and etc. i can suggest that parents should punish their children not buying thier favorite things as sweets, dolls or forbid to go to entertainment places.
ReplyDeleteIt is just crazy that domestic situations are going up to public and even governmental level in some other countries. It shows that person does not really know how to bring up his/her own child.
ReplyDeleteWhy in the world government should intervene in our lives? Why in the world they should gather, discuss, debate, waste their time trying to make laws that will control our behavior with our children.
If you have to smack your child, smack him/her in a way that does not really leave bruise or break a bone. After all he/she is your child. Take care when you are bringing them up.
Don't talk AT them, but instead talk WITH them. Listen to what they got to say.
Mr.Akmal what laws are you talking about?
ReplyDeleteBut if the way of smacking children go to the brueses and injury? I think goverments should control parents and children behaviour!
ReplyDeleteHi Doston I am talking about these laws:
