Beggars - To Give Or Not To Give?

I often hear people arguing over this topic. Some say that we should give small cash so that they can survive for one day and others argue that they are actually very rich or lazy that they don't deserve any financial help? What do YOU think? Do you give them a small cash? If you do, do you give to any beggar on the street or you select? If you don't give, then why you don't do that? How do you feel about the whole situation? Please share with us your thoughts and opinions.

  3. Okay I give some money to people who really need, I think it is our debt (well we can't talk about religion so I can't tell you why it is our debt). There are two kind of beggars I think: Loli (=whose job to beg, however, they are really rich) and people who really need money (= I consider they are invalids or lost their family, job or such kind of thing). In brief, how many beggars in country so poor this country.

  4. so)))IN my opinion we should give them money, because we can't really know rich they in any way or poor. You see they are so miserable, especially old men... and how you can refuse them?

  5. Renata do you know that they mask themselves as poor and miserable?? When I was in Dubai I read on the newspaper that some people earned more than 1000 USD in just one month during the month of Ramadan by just begging in the front of the mosques. Later begging near the mosques was completely banned by Dubai government.

  6. I think that we should give them money. For example remember the last text about Akin and Shelly. Akin was really poor and with help of Shelly he survive. I think when we give money we must really want to do it deep inside. And in my opinion it's better, when we give money to disabled persons not to Loli as Doston said.

  8. Hi all, In my view we should give them some money, if they don't lie and really need it!

  9. to mr.Akmal...yes I know that they mask themselves, but you can't precisely know in what situation this beggar is!!!and I want to notice that this beggar can be actually not a beggar and at the other hand it can be vice versa.Well..imagine what will happen with that guys,if you tell them "no" I haven't so much money for you,(but you have)?and suddenly at the next day you'll know that this man has died, cuz he was very hungary.Died because others like you(just imagine) THOUGHT THAT THIS BEGGAR IS LOLI.What's your feelings, I mean how you will feel after this accident?

  10. Hello) It's so disputable question...in my opinion we must give some money only for ill and elderly people! Because they haven't got another way to make some money for eating! But if you see that healthy, strong man/woman stands with stretched hand, of course it's wrong! These people can find some job! It can't be highly paid work but it will be enoght for buying some necessary things!

  11. Hello to all! I'm novice here)) mb i'll mistake on writing, grammar & etc.:
in my opinion! Of course some Beggars really need money! But some of them are lazy, they don't want work even they can do some useful things and earn money for they life! As for me! I didn't beleive superstations! As RENATA said that people died which lied & didn't give money even he/she have money! It was his fate! That day he/she must die & he/she died! Mb It seems strange but it's true! It's not connected with beggar's bad wishes:))
we don't have to give them money! If you have extra cash money (of course there isn't money which extra:xD), save it for you)

  13. I often give money because i can't see them in this situation but there es one exception. Those people who goes around you wherever you go with aking money doing the shame things I can't give or sometimes they shouted to you. How can you give for them? I never:( I think people should give only for them who really needs it.

  15. Well Renata, I can't understand those who beg for money while others are working hard even for a little money these days. If they die, why in the world I should feel myself bad??? They are all adults and most of them are sound and healthy. They are capable to use their hands, legs and mind.

But I do understand those who are very poor and disabled. I do give them money, of course. But it is just irritating to see youngsters standing near Metro stations or Mosques and crying for money. At that time I just say to myself: Why don't they go and work?

You know guys about 7 years ago when I was returning from my work, I saw one woman with her baby standing at the traffic light and begging for money. I was so young, and naive at that time that I felt very sorry for that woman. You know what I did??? I took 5000 sums out of my pocket, gave it to her and said ''Dear lady (in Uzbek Holajon) please take this cash and go home, relax''. She took it very quickly but she would go away home. Next to her I was standing at the bus stop and waited for a bus for about 20 mins. She still would not go. Good Lord!!!!!

  16. Guys please don't forget to follow subject+verb+object formula when you are writing your comments. For example, I did my homework yesterday. I (subject)+ did (verb)+my homework (object)+yesterday (time). Also pay attention to your spelling.

Every time when you have written your comment, please go up and read it down again to check if your sentences don't have a lot of mistakes.

Don't forget to support your position with ideas, arguments and examples. For example, if you think that Smoking must be banned, don't just say that you agree with it. Please explain why you agree and why your position is correct.

ANYWAY TAKE IT EASY and enjoy the writing process!!!!

  17. Begging... Beggars... life is hard. If you give some money to beggars you won't become poor or if you keep it you won't become rich. So share a little money with them just give money which is enough to buy bread and in future this your good job will help you.

  21. I think they have already died peoples without emotions!
They aren't worth of your attention!
If you give him 5000 sum or more than 10000, they want more and more!
They just want to eat and doing nothing!
    But one thing!
People don't have a permission to be sad or gloomy!

  22. To give or not to give the charity depends on situation. It means when, whom how much.I travel a lot by underground and you know there are so many beggers that you do not know who is who. Beggers usually smart enough to know that people who have money use underground, so why they do not use their knowledge to find any kind of work. When i studied at English courses at WIUT I used to see one women with her little baby (which is about 1year old) to ask from drivers for money when they stop at red light. I had never felt sorry for them. If i had gave them money it would have encouraged to use baby on their own purposes. What is more it is very dangerous for baby to be carried on high speed traffic.
On the other hand, when i encounter somebody who is disabled or who is very old (at retired age)I do give charity, because i know when i have money i must share with those who do not have. I do believe that everything in this world is given to us to examine.

    Faithfully,
    Djurabek Djumanov.

  23. Yes guys Doston is definitely right here. Don't ignore reading the article because when you go to take IELTS exam, reading task will be almost at the same level of difficulty. Just try to read and expose yourself to an advanced level of reading. You don't have to understand every single word but try to read for general meaning. Improve your reading skills and pick up new words for yourself. Cmooooooooooooon!!!! :--))))
